An Invitation to Manifest/The Seasons Turn/Cycles of Life on Earth

Although we may still feel deeply entrenched in the darkness of winter, ancient practices would have us celebrating the return of Spring! Throughout Nature and the old ways of honouring her patterns, we are reminded to use our resources for evolution. Time and time again, we are graced with cycles of death and ultimately rebirth.

The Natural flow of energy moves with or without us. Synchronizing our prayers to the cosmic flow can amplify the creation of our intentions. This may be extra challenging amidst the noise and lights of cities. Remember to get outside, wherever you are, to feel the changing air on your skin. Look up at the sky, the rising sun and fluctuating Moon. The rhythm of the Universe is calling you in.

Last week brought us the Celtic Pagan celebration of Imbolc, halfway point between the winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. "Imbolc is a time for bringing new ideas and projects into the burgeoning light, for growing what we have been reflecting on over the winter months". In 2022 this day overlapped perfectly with the Starting Month, the Spring Festival of Chinese New Year! This year we welcome the Tiger and all their teachings.

Days ago, was also the auspicious Hindu holiday of Panchami, the first day of Spring. This time is represented by wearing yellow, symbolizing the emergence of the mustard fields. Pujas, or offerings, are made to imbue our lives with good fortune and abundance in the coming year.

Currently, we are midway between the New Moon and Full Moon, the second of the year. In this cycle is yet another invitation to harness the deep thoughts conjured during the dark moon and bring them into the light of the waxing Grandmother. In all these traditions, these ages old practices, we are given opportunity, anew, to manifest the dreams of our unconscious into reality. What growth and transformation do you desire for yourself, and the world at large?

You may pray to God, the Goddess Brigid, or Saraswati, or possibly to yourself, through your own personal assemblage of the natural order of things. In any manner, may you pray, for new beginnings, new lessons learned, and insight gained. May you add to the collective prayer, invitations of shared expansion in our human experience and evolution. Pray for Compassion, Kindness and Love.

With gratitude,

Joshua Carter

"You carry Mother Earth within you. She is not outside of you. Mother Earth is not just your environment. In that insight of inter-being, it is possible to have real communication with the Earth, which is the highest form of prayer."
